Hmmm I could teach him too I suppose. Burnouts are easy. But I would never do a burnout in my own car. Not worth blowing a diff or a tranny to make some smoke.... Not to mention the damage done to the tires

Ive done a burn out before every pass i made. The v6 dose not make enought power to threaten it. BUT i have had the trans temp light come on one time out of over 100 plus passes. BUT it was also very hot out that day and i did burn longer then needed. On street tires you should burn no longer then 10 to 15 sec at most. Any longer you will glaze the tires and they wont have the traction.

Stick with that rule and you won't hurt the trans. Its also in the srt if that means anything...

the point of a burnout (for drag racing) is to get the tire temps up to get them tacky, this is a huge traction bonus. gotten my tires to be almost as tacky as a piece of duct tape. add that plus a 2400 launch rpm= 60' times almost equal to my buds mustang gt. I have gotten down to a 2.45 sixty foot. hes hit 2.30 sixty foot.

2.30 lol I got 1.75 60' on a bad day lol. But your 60' isn't bad considering your a V6. That's why I laugh at gt's when they want to play at lights lol
