I *swear* by Craftsman. A little more than HD/Lowes brand, but I've never broken one. I bought an air wrench at a pawn shop ($5). It was broken. I took it back to Sears and got a brand new one -no questions, no hassle, no problem!

I have a couple Mac, Snap-on and Matco wrenches, but those are WAAAAAAY overpriced!!

I twisted up two craftsman extensions and shattered some of their sockets. Your jeep must be nice lol.

Oh I forgot the best part. This wasn't a nut that has been on there for 20 something years. I put it on two f'ing weeks ago. New nut and a new threaded shaft. When I did get it off the damn threads looked perfect.

Did you ask her if they were made in Taiwan?

Ive split a craftsman socket taking a lug nut off my old truck. All i had on it was a breaker bar so i could break the nuts loose. Heard a loud pop and thought i snapped a wheel stud, turned out the socket had split down its lenght.

Other then that, dont get me started on the things ive broke in the military but in a nut shell ill tell you. I've broken a 1 inch breaker bar, snapped the drive head right off it. Bent the handle on another one and fried a 1 inch impact gun.....stupid kalmar.

Those axle nuts are 'supposed' to be a one time use nut, They're oblong so they keep torque on the shaft. When you install them for the first time they sort of form to the shaft and lock down, when you remove them they'll fight the whole way because they're designed to resist coming off. Sounds like yours was a bit tougher than usual though. Your Jeep seems to always be the pita exception for you man...

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Ok I've been having this weird issue for months I can't figure out. When I put my jeep in neutral at any speed over 5 mph it revs up until it hits the rev limiter at 4k with my foot off the gas. But in neutral when it's stopped it is fine. Any ideas why it does this?
