Hmmm.... Only since the new motor I'm assuming? Is it behaving normally when driving? Could be a number of things but I'd start with checking/cleaning your TPS and IAT, either one could cause that issue. Also a slight chance of a vacuum leak but that should be present at all stages of operation.

Yes since the new motor. Totally normal when driving. I got a brand new tb and it still does the same. No vacuum leaks.

Damn bro... Your Jeep loves to drive you nuts man! Have you checks your IAT sensor? It's a long shot but sometimes they can get gummed up and do weird stuff. Other than that man, it could be something in one of your modules? Maybe one of em isn't playing so nice with the new motor and/or programmer... Hard to guess tho without getting hands on and digging into the bitch.

I know man I know, its like a fight with the damn thing every day . Just pulled the IAT and its clean. I did a valve body swap on the tranny with the motor but I dont think it can cause this.

It could if one of the sensors is reading a pressure it doesn't like or is confused with the shift position. Would make sense why it's only in N. Do all of your gear indicator boxes ever light up simultaneously?

I kept my stock solenoid pack and all the sensors are in there. No it always shows the correct gear

I wonder if you can get any clues with a scanner that monitors the trans, watch all the pertinents in real time. If you run out of diagnostic ideas you may just throw the stock VB and such back in to eliminate that all together or narrow down the cause. Maybe do it when you change your trans fluid (won't "need" to be done for quite a while but wouldn't hurt with as hard as you drive it), or just save your fluid if you want too. I'd probably end up swapping the OEMs back in to be sure myself...
