4 foot handle jeez that's a big sucker. Mine is 1.5 foot so I don't get much leverage but that's the only one I can fit in the fender well

What did you do to your WK today?

Ok to all of you that don't know (I think Jeff knows) I'll explain what happened here. This repair was not really the jeeps fault and this is the first repair I know I kind of f'ed up. It all started last week when I replaced the upper ball joints. I gave the upper control arms to Midas to press out the old ball joints and put in the new ones. However on one of them he put the ball joint in upside down. I didn't realize this and never checked for it (partially because they looked symmetrical to me). When I put it all together the ball joint snapped with the rotor and caliper on the spindle and it hyper extended the cv joint and tore the boot a little. At the time I realized it but couldn't do anything about it. After having gone thru this and a hard 14 hour workday and being dog tired I guess I got a little careless when installing the new cv shaft and didn't mind putting the nut on the end when hammering it in. You guys know the aftermath.

My Beemer is still in the body shop, all mechanical work is done but they are still waiting for approval for body repair from the insurance and they say it'll be another 3 weeks or so. My zj is the only car I have and that's just barely hanging on for dear life. Today I was driving it on the highway and the torque converter wouldn't lock up at all for a good 10 seconds. Then suddenly it locked up in some low gear and I heard the tires chirp hard and something snap. I am scared to even look.

Sort of.... It kinda shimmies down the road and the wheel shakes a bit but that's just how it drives. The suspension is total crap. But no it doesn't drive differently

Yup, more times than I like to think about! You can't wrench angry, sometimes you just gotta stop for a hot minute and think about the problem at hand and re-attack it. It's all part of the learning curve tho, things are going to get damaged and broken, parts of your body included...

Looks like you had the jack stands a wee bit higher than they're supposed to go. Before it toppled, were the teeth actually locked into place? Or just setting on top of the stand!?
