I went this route, and it'll be here Wednesday. I can either cut the 10" or so I need and connect it to the TB or just use the whole thing.

And I'm doing the IAT extension so I can move it to where the filter is.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

I tried to go the Spectre route, but I couldn't find the right parts. I found some, but they totaled almost what the Spyder cost, so I went with it.

Lol you boys and your funny "cais". You guys really don't have an airflow restriction. I make power and I'm on the stock airbox

Lol. We just hate the reso!! I heard w/o the reso we'd have more power. Every little bit helps, especially when you're the "runt" of the litter!!

I think that getting rid of the reso you'll lose power. That box allows it to store air there so it's readily available or it will have to pull air thru the tube when it needs it which will reduce power. It acts like a capacitor. Think about it like this if you had to breathe thru a straw vs breathing thru a bag. Which would be easier?

Dude if I let you drive the 3.7 you'll be like yeah delete the reso. You feel the lack of air going through the engine. If you get an intake straight to the tb it's all air between A and B no middle man

That makes sense, but I was told it restricts the airflow. Mine gets so hot I can hardly keep my hand on it (not quite that hot, but really hot), so it's pulling in hot air -defeating the purpose of the CAI!! Just my thoughts on it. You know way more than I do about it!

Alex is spot-on!!
