just from some threads with the airbag light on how the connections there gets loose.
but i went over each connection and all seemed tight. i did disc and press the brake 3 times to reset it. will reconnect in about 15 mins.

I have a obd reader and when the light came on, it couldnt pull any codes. Im hoping this reset will solve it.

Dont know, they may not even have a fuse since they are such a critical component, but if the airbag light turned off I doubt you have blown the fuse. You don't happen to have an aftermarket alarm or remote start system do you?

The light indicates that the system isn't functioning properly and has disabled the bags, no worry of them "spontaneously deploying"(if that's one of your concerns), there are many safeguards in place to prevent that. Could be any number of electrical gremlins. If it ends up being your clockspring assy, you can do it yourself with minimal tools and knowledge, just patience and attention. Discharging the system is paramount if you dig in though, it's fairly easy to trigger detonation even if you know what you're doing. It'll likely not bother you again though, like Josh said, any impedance in any number of circuits can flag a mal in the system, won't show up on a standard obd2 scanner as it's completely separate of the engine mgmt. There are scanners that can access the airbag system, abs, wcm, and other subsystems, but they're spendy. Check some local parts stores, they usually have scanners to use, some may have an advanced tool that'll let you look into it.

Yup the clock spring is fairly easy to replace, I have done it once before. You should replace your cancel cam at the same time. As long as you let the system discharge as rkirk said and don't damage the airbag it's very easy to do.

Airbags not functioning/deploying in an accident. When you turn your key on, not running, what does your light do? Does it go through the standard bulb check and then go out, or does it stay solid from the beginning?
