Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Replaced both my UCAs/UBJ's with Moog Problem Solvers last night. Definitely helped with the loose steering while driving, but man oh man, what a pain in the a$$.

On the driver's side I had to use a pry bar to open up the coil spring to allow the bolts to pass through and thought that would be the worst of it.

Nope. On the passenger side I had to compress the coil spring, remove the bolts from the strut mounting plate, and remove the clevis bolt to drop down the strut and lean it out in order to get enough clearance to pull the bolts for the UCA.

Tonight, it will be onto the swaybar end links and new outer tie rod ends (all Moog) and my suspension redux will be complete. Hopefully between all these replacements (all OEM at 120k), my tight steering will come back.

Also, hopefully the swaybar and tie rod ends are nice and quick in comparison to the 3hrs/side it took for the UCAs/UBJs.

Sounds like we have been on the same path recently! Also just did all bushings in moog problem solvers. Apparently rear sway bar is a max 1 hour job...

Should get the truck back from the workshop on Saturday so work done is:

All front bushings and ball joints changed to Moog.

Front and rear sway bars replaced with SRT8 sway bar.

Good luck!

looking forward to feel the handling improvements, there is a highway bridge on my way home where the road swings long curve right to left, perfect testing ground!

also had to justify the cost as taking it to workshop and getting around in this city without a car ain't cheap .. no more mods ... (for now!).

Do it bro! You have our full support I'm sure of it. Right now I'm debating on keeping my 06 3.7 and getting a 99ss camaro.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Well I'm just curious as to if it's worth it. I fully want it. Like 100% but I'm wondering if I should shop around more. With perfect maintenance how long do they usually last?
