Don't you have a dashcam? Witnesses to the accident? I don't know about Cali law but I'm pretty sure they can't hold your car from you, insurance can if they total it and you're not planning to buy it back. Does the random neighbor that volunteered as a character witness know you or have prior encounters with you?? You should talk to your insurance and possibly a lawyer if they're trying to fabricate something against you. Not sure how much Intel they can pull from your comps or if it's even be admissible, they won't be able to say what was on road and what was track driving, so even if there's crazy acceleration and speed data, can't definitively say where it happened.

What did you do to your WK today?

Has anyone tried the Dynomax VT mufflers yet, 3.7 or otherwise? I'm intrigued at the promise of minimal drone @ cruising RPM's while maintaining aggressive open performance @ higher engine speeds up to WOT. I've read of some issues with the valves being noisy but Dynomax claims they've remedied the fault. I have a hard time buying into the valve and spring surviving on countless heat cycles but they swear by it. Taking all that into consideration, I'm still willing to try it out. Worst case I absolutely hate it and just end up cutting it out and welding in the next candidate, they offer a full $ back guarantee but I'd only be out $90 if they didn't. Best case it's as described and lives up to the claims, gets rid of my drone and quiets down the idle a bit so I'm not sounding like a thunder storm rumbling through the woods during hunting season trying to get into my areas. I think I'll pull the trigger tonight and install it early next week if I don't hear any reliable negative feedback from y'all.

Glad you're alright. And sorry to hear about the totaled news. My friend had a very similar accident, almost identical damage and his wheel flew off. Cost him about 8K in suspension and body work. I'm sure you could bring her back to life but idk if you wanna drop that coin. Again sorry to hear about this, hope everything works out for you tho.

I myself gave the vt some consideration when I was first getting into nodding my jeep. I ended up just getting the ultra flow version from dynomax. It didn't really drone much and the vt will sound the same when you get into it. I had felt that the valve would make little difference on our V6's. I have a vid up some where of it

What did you do to your WK today?

I called the commander in chief of police today and told him what happened and who I was. He was pissed AF at the cop who impounded my car.
