Re: What did you do to your WK today?

It's been a Good & Bad Day, First, a guy in a Corvette convertible, series before the 2015, with Roll Bars, drilled rotors, etc. took me on at a stop sign, after he got on it, I jumped on my SRT, I left him behind like he was running in reverse, he sheepishly turned off.....that was fun, then later while out with my wife, I came to a stop sign and my SRT just stopped running, for absolutly no apparent reason.....Started right back up, but that concerns me, nothing like that ever happened to me before....Jeep seems to be running fine, but idled a little rough this morning for a minute or two on initial start up, it also hasn't repeated the sudden shut down and seems to be OK, but still concerns me

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

I finally got around to installing my new Alpine Type R speakers front and rear. I am currently finding a better location for the front as to where the tweeters will go, but they came out great in the rear!

I also replaced these bad boys while I had it off (see above pictures for the "after" shots).

I even got to test out my new sand blaster on some of the parts I need to paint!

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Finally got the jeep to the track on Saturday. Ran a 11.83 @113 with a 2016DA. I'm somewhat pleased with the numbers. I was expecting a little lower but with the DA and how hot and humid it was, I was a little happy. Still havnt ran it with meth yet so fingers crossed for lower et's this year lol

You could easily get that down with race tires too

I snuggled up a couple of header bolts today. I went out to take a pic of my injectors and one bolt caught my eye so I double checked em all. And I solved my rattle issue when I go wot. I had some slop in my exhaust hangers so they got adjusted

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

I attempted to tint my front windows today. I got a precut 20% kit with lifetime warranty against fading and bubbles and all that off ebay. I figured I would try, I watched some videos and didn’t look too rough. It came out well until…towards the bottom of the passenger side I ended up with some ripples I couldn’t get rid of. I lifted the tint and was going to relay it, and I sprayed windex instead of the soap water solution. I cleaned it off and sprayed the soapy water, and I ended up with a crease. And that was the end of that piece. Rather than attempting the drivers side and ending up with only 1 window tinted. I went back inside to the AC. LOL. I spoke with the company and they were willing to send me a replacement piece. I asked what about a discounted drivers side piece so I can have a spare. And they are doing that for me. I figure I will try drivers side 1st next time. And if I have any issues, I have a spare handy, and when I get to the passenger side it will have been my 2nd or 3rd piece to install. And I will have had the practice LOL. At the very least I can say I have an extremely clean passenger side front window. With the amount of cleaning I did to it today 🙈🙉🙊

Hey bro, i switched to Castrol 10W60 which is the same oil used in "M" BMWs, it runs much smoother with this oil, at least very useful for the hot climate here. I change oil every 5k kms, and include a motor flush with each oil change.
