My jeep had the same problem. Took it into shop they rebuilt the engine and it fixed it for a little bit. What was your outcome?

Dude that post was 2 and a half years ago. And they told you they rebuilt the engine to fix a transmission issue? Very funny. Revving out in 3rd on the 545rfe is due to a burnt od clutch pack. There is an off chance it could be the od solenoid but it will throw a different code for that saying the solenoid is bad. Yes I've been thru the same thing and I've been thru many transmissions

Also, I don't wanna go through many transmissions so what fixed it for you? The burnt out clutch pack?

Yes the clutch pack is what fixes it. I gone through many transmissions because I've put in a much bigger motor and drove it with the pedal to the metal all the time

That's a shame. Anyways, they said they replaced the clutch pack when they rebuilt the transmission. Any other ideas?

We added spacers to my rig but due to safety concerns we pulled them off I must say I wish I kept them on

They checked it out and it was a burnt out clutch. Any ideas as to why this might be happening after they just replaced it?

I read through your whole six shooter build. It looks like a great Jeep! And thank you for your service.
Before it went out I put more fluid in it. And when they rebuilt it they should have put in the right fluid. I guess I never checked on that. Thanks for the reply.
