I did the same a while back, was able to hammer a size smaller on(12 mm I think) and then got it off.

Fixed the clicking in my steering wheel by taking out four screws around column, then the two screws holding multi switch. Pulled switch back and off and sanded down the piece of plastic sticking up that comes In contact with pieces inside column itself. All is quiet finally.

What did you do to your WK today?

So just for giggles I was looking at superchargers. I think I can make my own setup for less than 1600. I can probably cop a v-2 unit for about 600 used + 150 for a local rebuild if needed, than get a solid inter cooler for 250 or and 100 for some custom pipes from air filter to supercharger to inter cooler to the motor. Then just plumb the oil to the unit maybe 50 dollars more. Injectors maybe 150 more. And a bracket to mount the supercharger for 250. And then maybe 50 bucks for misc. mounting hardware. Run a cool safe 6-7 psi boost. Don't know whether or not I'll need a bigger fuel pump... Perhaps for low boost I think not. My motor is already forged and should be just under 11:1 comp so low boost should still add 150+ hp at the crank. I'm just worried about totally toasting my 2nd prime clutches. Real question is whether I should do this to the stang or the jeep. On the mustang I can use a v-1 instead of the v-2, completely get rid of the intercooler and run it straight into the motor, and it's a t-45 so with some good synchros it should hold up to the extra power better than the jeeps 545rfe. But I have no idea how strong the stock lsd rear end and driveshafts are...
Regardless of fi or not I really need to add a beefy trans cooler to jeeps system soon.

What did you do to your WK today?

Decided to try my hand at some interior upholstery trimming. It started with me ordering a leather wrapped wheel from a salvage yard to acquire the audio controls and accompanying pieces. I initially planned on just retrofitting the controls to my current wheel but then grew fond of the idea of installing the leather wheel as well. I restored the leather and when I was installing it I realized that the frame of the wheel had been bent, rendering it useless. Long story short, I was undeterred so I sourced some leather from a local custom interior shop and proceeded to wrap my oem rubber wheel. Spent some time working with vinyl first to get my templates and techniques down before cutting hide. Once I finished the wheel I realized There was enough leather left to cover my parking brake handle and then build a shift knob cover. I added some high density foam to the brake lever and shift knob to bolster both up a bit for a more substantial feel. All told I'm into the materials around $25 (minus the purchase of the initial wheel with the audio controls which was $40) and probably close to 10 man hours in total working at it here and there. I'm pretty happy with the results, there are a couple things I could've done a bit better and cleaner now that I've got a little experience with it, but it'll work for now.
