Took the jeep on a 1000 mile road trip to the Grand Canyon . Got back about 350 miles in one tank for 33 bucks. Gas is cheap there. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1458967022.200661.jpg

Pretty sweet right now, isn't it? Especially for your freak of nature monster machine!! Haha!! It's been hovering around $2/gal here in central Oregon for a while now, Arco fuel anyway... When I started driving ('96) fuel would get down to .79/gal on occasion but never above $1/gal, which was nice because I drove a '69 F-100 BB. I'm happy to pay $2/gal these days, better than $5+ like it was for a while a few years back.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

I assume you run premium fuel for that motor, and 17 gal tank? Which roughly would be around 20mpg if I'm not mistaken? That's pretty damn good if that's the case, especially for your displacement.

Yup just under 17 gallons of premium. I feel like arco gas gets worse mpg compared to say shell or chevron. Perhaps they use more ethanol? Yeah I started driving in 07 so I've never filled up with prices so low. I'd love to see gas go under a dollar.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Well, I didn't do it today but I finally gave my WK to my little brother like I've always said I would eventually.

What's next for me to purchase, we'll just have to wait and see.

Are you referring to the LED map lights? You'll need a pair of festoon LED replacements, 45mm if I remember correctly but you'll want to confirm that. The lenses pop outward, they have a plastic guide with a hooked end that retains them in the housings, you'll need to GENTLY pry the hooks inward to clear the housing while applying pressure to remove the lenses. You can use a small flat head screw driver if you like, just take care not to mar your trim or the lenses, I prefer actual interior pry tools but it's your baby. Same methodology applies to your rear courtesy lights as well, except those take a T-10 (194 etc) bulb base. As with most automotive LEDs, they're polarity sensitive so if they don't illuminate, 180 and test again. Hope that answers your query, and props on digging up an ancient post, must've been a man on a mission searching for that specific intel!

So prying outward, you mean start from the back of the lights? Or the front? (Closest to the windshield)

Found it. Thanks! I'm wondering if I have footwell lights because there aren't any lights. Where would these be located? If I don't have them can they be easily installed?
