Replaced all of the interior lights with LEDs.

Today: I ordered Opt7 LED bulbs for the GC. Just waiting patiently for them to be delivered.

Here's a link to the new style flip key I got last week, so far it's been solid, much better than the original style. Programs like a standard transponder key (customer programming).

It does come with a battery. It's all ready to go, just need to get the blade cut (no need to disassemble) like you did with the first gen flip style and then program it. I assume you've still got at least 2 working ignition keys? It took about a week for mine to get delivered so you've gotta be patient, I hate waiting for cool shit that I order... You won't regret it, for $20 I think I'm going to order another just to have. If you have any questions let me know, but it's pretty straight forward. Glad I could point you towards it, enjoy.

Negative I lost my first set of keys unfortunately. Is it needed to have 2? Perfect I hated the first Gen.

I'm pretty sure you need to go to a locksmith or the dealer to get it programmed if you've only got one. I've been wanting to get a second key but getting a good price on the programming has kept me away from it.

You do need 2 functioning ignition keys to enter into customer programming mode. If you need a 2nd, I'd just order one or two standard transponder keys (just the key, not entire remote/key combo) and have the dealer program one. I think it's around $50-$60 for the dealer to program one, not positive tho. Once you have the 2nd key you can program all you want. I keep 2 basic transponder keys in my safe just in case I somehow lose the other 3 and have to build my key supply back up, I think I paid $10 for the pair, cheap insurance. Check with a local locksmith or your dealer and ask them how much to program a key if you had it cut and brought it to them, shouldn't be that much, I assume well under $100.

Here's a link to a pair of keys that'll work. Still need at least one more to be programmed tho.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Just did this a couple days ago. I had two keys but both fobs were garbage. Would not work locks etc.,but both worked in ignition. Went to Amazon two keys and fobs...$28, took to locksmith, two keys cut $5. I programmed myself only because I had two keys that would work in ignition. If I'd only had one,it would have still only been...$28-2 keys with fobs / $5-2 keys cut and $45-2 keys programmed. Locksmith is your best bet before dealer.

Do you prefer the oem style fob? I assume you'll store the 2 old keys somewhere safe as a fall back in the future. $45 @ the locksmith sounds like a deal, if I were in that position I'd have one made ASAP. If you don't love the factory fob, I strongly recommend the new style flip fob I just got, I posted a link and pics a few posts back. If you're content with the factory, then disregard.
