What did you do to your WK today?

Another forum I am on does this, its great for the little nothings not worthy of a new thread. Its a confidence booster for your WK to let it know even the little things are important... oil change, de-badging, painting bits and pieces, repairs, the fact that you finally got to drive it...

Ill start:

- considering I made all of 2.1 hrs for the 6.5 hrs I was at work, I pulled the grand in, pulled the front end off and rerouted my HID relay harnesses for my fogs and headlamps. When I initially installed them I was slamming them in with no time to worry about wire routing or ballast mounting.
-Checked all my fluids to make sure all was still good considering the open heart surgery done to her a couple months back, all checked out good other than what looks like a slight coolant leak from my radiator end tank.
-dusted her exterior and shined the tires (she got a bath last night but it sprinkled on the way home)
-Installed a steel skid plate!
-Saturday I pulled off my steering wheel to resolve my squeeking clockspring and clicking turn signal cancelor cam, In a moment of NON-thinking I spritzed the clockspring with some spray lube, good news... it is quiet... bad news, I had a "check electric brake system" message in the evic and the traction control light on following. Quickly hooking up the witech I found I had an "internal scm failure". 2 days of driving later it went off and hasnt come back (phew)

Half day today so I..........

Washed it.

Ordered new rear fogs to get tinted bc my rear fogs now got warped because I have halogen bulbs in them (lesson learned lol).
Ordered 92 LED Tower bulbs for the rear fogs.
Filled it up with 93.

That's it. lol

Well I just bought those tires right before I decided to put the lift on, so that is why they are still there. They are 245 65 17 and I am wanting to go with 265 65 17. I think that would look alot better!!!

Removed my Overland grill yesterday and separated the chrome fascia, primed and painted the black mesh inserts blue steel- body colour. Re-installed today with new fasteners- a subtle but nice touch :) Then a two hour road trip each way to amazing Battered Pickerel at a restaurant north of me- worth it and a good cruise in my Jeep.

Very nice choice on the headlights, i wished i left the amber part unpainted when i did mine.

hehe. iirc you have the blue JG banner on the 1/4 window? i think the moldings with the "GC" lettering in the same blue will be sick!

yea... i was thinkin the same thing. i need painted moldings at some point anyway. whered you get them from? and did they supply new moldings? or did you have to ship some out to them? im pumped to see what they look like on your jeep.

im not a huge fan of big accent colors everywhere but something subtle like that will be nasty.

Scott (UR50SLO) painted em. Send in your moldings and he'll take care of the rest. It took a while for mine since he needed a mask made for the letterings. Should be much quicker for anyone interested.
