What did you do to your WK today?

Another forum I am on does this, its great for the little nothings not worthy of a new thread. Its a confidence booster for your WK to let it know even the little things are important... oil change, de-badging, painting bits and pieces, repairs, the fact that you finally got to drive it...

Ill start:

- considering I made all of 2.1 hrs for the 6.5 hrs I was at work, I pulled the grand in, pulled the front end off and rerouted my HID relay harnesses for my fogs and headlamps. When I initially installed them I was slamming them in with no time to worry about wire routing or ballast mounting.
-Checked all my fluids to make sure all was still good considering the open heart surgery done to her a couple months back, all checked out good other than what looks like a slight coolant leak from my radiator end tank.
-dusted her exterior and shined the tires (she got a bath last night but it sprinkled on the way home)
-Installed a steel skid plate!
-Saturday I pulled off my steering wheel to resolve my squeeking clockspring and clicking turn signal cancelor cam, In a moment of NON-thinking I spritzed the clockspring with some spray lube, good news... it is quiet... bad news, I had a "check electric brake system" message in the evic and the traction control light on following. Quickly hooking up the witech I found I had an "internal scm failure". 2 days of driving later it went off and hasnt come back (phew)

Was watching a cheap OEM DVD NAVTEQ disc for my REC but some a$$hat outbid me on it 20 min before the auction end. Oh well, I then drove up the price in revenge. They would've got it for $42, ended at $78 and someone else stole it with 8 seconds to spare. The OEM nav isn't worth that much...I'll just use my Droid for free haha.

it's body color, brilliant black.

gloss black if given the choice between gloss and flat. For flat black you can easily plastidip it and do a test run on em.

But i like...
body color moldings with the letterings in black?
gloss black moldings with the letterings in GOLD?

I guess cause I want my car to have an actual paint job lol that's why I finally wasn't too paint my grille and side moldings lol. And I like your style! But I'm scared how much Paul is going to charge me lol

He did mine for $60 shipped. $50 for the labor + $10 shipping.

He had to make a mask of the letters to come out perfect so that took some time but he should still have that template.

alex just check him out... send him an email and ask it wont hurt. ive had a couple things painted by him as well and he is very good with pricing. and his work is phenomenal.

id do body color moldings with the lettering in black as davy said. just getting rid of those fat moldings is gonna make a HUGE change.

How do you know its not the battery? What are the symptoms?

Starting was noticeably slower this morning because here in MO the temp dropped from 68 yesterday to 22 today. Going to clean off the contacts on my block heater cord and connect that baby tonight. Looks like winter is finally here.

battery was replaced about 5 months ago. It will crank up fine after it sits for a few hrs but problem when i turn it off and back on after a few mins to run errands. I was able to crank it but it sounded like it barely went on. It was yesterday when it failed to crank so i waited 10 mins and tried it again and got it up.

Im going to check that yellow wire on the starter ive been reading/told about.

Good luck Dave, the starter is In a tricky spot to get to.

And x2 in the body colored moldings, would look smooth on your wk alex
Thanks brotha! Or flat black all around due to the fact that I got plastic on? Opinions all welcomed !

BTW how do some of you guys do it ? 22 degrees? Seriously? I'm dying with 55 degrees haha
