Another forum I am on does this, its great for the little nothings not worthy of a new thread. Its a confidence booster for your WK to let it know even the little things are important... oil change, de-badging, painting bits and pieces, repairs, the fact that you finally got to drive it...
Ill start:
- considering I made all of 2.1 hrs for the 6.5 hrs I was at work, I pulled the grand in, pulled the front end off and rerouted my HID relay harnesses for my fogs and headlamps. When I initially installed them I was slamming them in with no time to worry about wire routing or ballast mounting.
-Checked all my fluids to make sure all was still good considering the open heart surgery done to her a couple months back, all checked out good other than what looks like a slight coolant leak from my radiator end tank.
-dusted her exterior and shined the tires (she got a bath last night but it sprinkled on the way home)
-Installed a steel skid plate!
-Saturday I pulled off my steering wheel to resolve my squeeking clockspring and clicking turn signal cancelor cam, In a moment of NON-thinking I spritzed the clockspring with some spray lube, good news... it is quiet... bad news, I had a "check electric brake system" message in the evic and the traction control light on following. Quickly hooking up the witech I found I had an "internal scm failure". 2 days of driving later it went off and hasnt come back (phew)
Got the jeep back again. Turns out the headlamp bracket was bent. Everything is fixed now and looking good. Its too dark to take pictures but I will tomorrow.
I done did my taxes for the year. Getting 986$ back. Its a little lower then what I was expecting but that will still cover wheels. I can still get my reps back.
Mine are covered along with my stereo etc. on a side not I've been working on my integra and I'm trying to remove the front axles, there's is a 32 mm bolt that needs to be removed in the middle of each rotor. It must be original to the car because I've broken 2 breaker bars already, soaked it in pb blaster, heated with torch and the bolt does not budge. I've been to lowes 2 times already for new breaker bars under there lifetime kobalt warranty. They laughed and wanted to see the bolt I was trying to remove, they could not believe I broke it twice. Any ideas to remove this bolt guys?
I don't want to damage the axles. I just don't understand how this can be so stuck. I guess sitting for 25 years has made it this stuck. Maybe a bigger breaker bar
Did some first time snow driving. This thing never ceases to amaze. It reminds me if someone having an identity crisis - am I a muscle car, a family hauler, a snowmobile.....oh wait, all of the above. Love this SRT.
I got some new video editing software so I may make a year in review video filled with footage and pictures of 2013 that involves project six shooter and my crew lol
Yea my dad's zj (now mine) has been hit 3 times. One of which even ended up under my dad's rear axle. Every single one of those cars was totaled and my dad's jeep literally didn't have a scratch on it. Jeeps are tonka tough!
I just figured out why im getting paid a lot. Im getting bah for fort campbell at a rate of 1327 a month. Im making 4g's out here in a month. So lets throw suspension on the to buy list.
Realized my jeep is losing coolant . Possibly a crack in the block or head gasket? I dont see any of it on the ground so its doubtful its a leak. Maybe this is causing my bad gas mileage?
I had some Layin around figured I'd try it out. I wanna smoke my chrome. You think vht nightshade would work on that? Just like a single coat? Any ideas?
