I'm not a "serious offroader", however I take my WK on the beach, a lot.
Typical daily driving I always carry;
Small tool set. Pliers, Flat & Phillips Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench, Knife & duct tape. Just in case something minor happens, I'm at least kinda prepared.
Flash light with emergency strobe.
4 Ratchet Straps
Toilet Paper (This is a must if you do any long road trips.....)
Back-Up Tom-Tom Nav (It's small enough and hey, you never know if my stock one dies for some reason)
Heavy Duty Black Garbage Bags (about 10, if you litter, **** you)
2X Tow Straps
Torque Wrench & Socket for Wheels
Halogen Work Light (Small & Portable hand held) that plugs into my factory Power Invertor
Tire Deflator & Compressor in-case the opportunity to go off road arises on a whim.
If I'm headed to the beach I carry all the above plus;
(2) 12"x24" Pieced of Plywood - Used as jack stand or to help get unstuck
Portable Toilet & Bathroom Pop-Up Tent
Table & Grill
Beach Chairs, Umbrella, Pop-Up Canopy
5 Gal. Solar Shower
2 Coolers - 1 With Booze, Water & Other Drinks & 1 for just food.
I think that's it, there are probably a few minor odd's and ends I am forgetting.

Bad day at the beach seen here, no worries, she is all better. This was before my recovery points & I didn't air down, my fault. She popped right back together, no damage! - imgur: the simple image sharer
