Ice Box in the center console. You never know when you gotta pull out a drank so it helps to be prepared.

lol and someone can't live without an ice box in the center console? I want to see pics of that btw

Silverstars are lame and HIRs are decent but produce less lumens than HID. Plus, HIDs run cooler (lower wattage) than halogen bulbs like Silverstars or HIRs; I don't know if the housing could handle 55/65 watts. If you spend most of your time in the city or well-lit areas, HID reverse may seem worthless but if you do any driving in dark areas, it's a HUGE difference. You can actually see where you're going.

lol, looks I'm gonna have to buy a camera soon

I could probably live without it and it's not too hard to do. Just insulate the f*** out of it and leak proof it and you're (like Yelawolf says) Good to go lol.

Yeah I understand the reasoning I just worry about the longevity of the kit by turning it off and on in quick succession. Did you wire it to the stock harness or did you use a heavier duty wire harness?

I was too, that's why I went with a quality kit with a 3-year warranty. I also opted for a digital ballast, which was rated at some-very-high-number-of on/off cycles. That, and it's slimmer so it could fit right behind the tail light.

I was going to run a relay harness but some other guys here tapped directly into the existing tail light harness and hadn't had any problems, so that's what I did. I cut off the stock reverse bulb connector and added a 9005 bulb connecter (the blue one below) that would plug right into the ballast. I've had them installed for almost 2 years and they're still running great.
