Re: wk interior door handles
I finished replacing my door handles, all four a few days ago. These are the ones that look OEM for sale on Ebay. They work great and match the interior door panel color exactly. Some You Tube videos suggest you drill off the posts on the inner door to remove the old handles.....DON'T DO THAT!. If your handles were like mine they virtually crumbled with the slightest pressure. I left the posts on the door after removing all of the old handles. I then trimmed the mushroomed tops of the posts only trimming the flaired mushroom part nibbling the edges off leaving as much of the post as I could. Test fit the new handle as you trim. If you do it right the pockets will almost snap into place. I used a utility knive and exacto knife to trim them. I then used some gorilla glue and a soldering iron to reflair the posts and using the glue as a bit of reinforcement. Now all my doors look and work great. Be careful when removing the door panels. I started with the rear ones. There are fewer electronics and builds your confidence for when you go into the front doors. Still, the fronts were easy as well just more cluster plugs especially the driver's door.
