Hello All
I got the xentec HID kit from Tony I need some help installing it too many wires I am just doing the lows only. With one relay I looked at matt install zero help with what wire goes where. A good step by step would help.
I had the same problem. I ordered a kit from Tony for my cousin and it took my 3 hours until I found out that I only needed one relay. Lol. You don't need those extras wires in the second picture so eliminate those.
LOL I think we all had like 5 min of panic when we opened our HID box. LMFAO I didn't find instructions till I got to the box to do the fogs and that was the easy part. LOL
Yes, seeing all the wires give me a heart attack. The second picture of the wires with the points on them got me scared glad I do not need them. The picture of the relay layout looks differ from the relay I got. I will get working on later this week. The guys who PM thanks if I get into problems I will be calling.
I did a little more studing the relay,So with the one relay I got it will wire just one side and the passenger side will not use the relay? So I do not use the oem power from the passenger side light but on the driver side I use the power from the oem light? So in the pictures of the grounding points do I need to put my ground next to the fender or can I just add it to the ones from the factory gound. Looking at the air box picture do I just plug the yellow male end to the female ballast and ground it to the fender and plug in the headlight and that side is done?
thats great...but what if a fuse goes out while your driving down the highway? One fuse=both headlights out??? Whoever came up with that idea was just being cheap.
thats a good idea....but I dont want to be driving down a dark road and both lamps go out. You have to admit...for safetys sake....two seperate relays are the way to go?
one relay for all four Irfy? I have 4 relays LMAO...one relay is def a cheaper route and I guess a lot easier on the install and less wires but that would suck to lose all your lights at once esp if you are on back-roads
for my lows i have 1 relay and for the fogs i did not need a relay. have you gotten the wiring all done? is only 1 low beam firing? have you checked your grounds? make sure those bolts are on TIGHT!
When I ground the wires in with the factory wires should I ground the lights at the bottom touching the fender or just screw it down with the rest of the wires?
Well I got a day off today so I installed my HID XENTEC, Well the fun part was finding a good place for the relay and hiding wires. It took about 45mins I took a video to show if this is a flicking problem or the way they look. Please let me know, My driver side looks to have more flicking and it is the side the relay is powering the relay. Here video.
