Not really, it is very likely they would kill your low end torque anyway, a lot of mis-understanding in this whole exhaust thing. When it comes to exhausts bigger is most certainly not better.

he has a V8.....if something was available like similar to dodge 4.7 headers.....he wouldnt lose any bottom end. he MIGHT actually get to enjoy it......if he could tune it.

07 unfortunately only thing is a superchips. no sct support. so that would also hold him back.

now if we were talking 4 cyl turbo that spools up to 9K RPM then yeah we might loose some bottom end. but with the V8 he wont notice it.

just saying/

Re: 07 Jeep Wk 4.7 V8 aftermarket headers?

I got a question because of the two comments above, I'm planning on doing the srt conversion and I want to put the borla s exhuast, will it keep my performance and sound good?

SRT conversion?? If you're talking exhaust manifolds, they won't fit on a 4.7.....only the 5.7.

Going overboard on the exhaust will hurt your low end torque, even using to big of cat-back system can have a negative effect. I have heard many complaints from Vette owners after going to headers and cat-backs that their torque is gone. You need that backpressure to help with the torque. Only way to know for sure is real world dyno testing, but you can get an idea buy looking at the dyno charts put out buy some exhaust manufacturers, if you look you can see how the stock system is better at low speeds, then the free flowing exhaust will pass the stock system and then go higher, the free flowing exhaust will build better HORSEPOWER. Always remember this "torque wins races, horsepower sells parts" and you will be fine, if performance matters always err on the conservative side.
