Re: 2005 WK Hemi headers

Good question. I've given up, actually. I'm getting a quote for some custom headers. Lol

It's just a quote. After I get it, I'll decide which way to go. 😊

700ish for obx then get stuff welded in plus New muffler.. 1000 total if you do it yourself. Maybe 1100 if you get crazy. Grab some high flow kooks cats for 350 a pop and your looking at 1800? Plus maybe some 02 extensions which should be 100? 1900 total

Re: 2005 WK Hemi headers

Well, I'm hoping it won't cost that much. I already got true dual and Flowmasters from the cats back. If I can retain the original mids/cats, that'd be ideal. I don't think I'd be able to do that with the OBX headers.

Ya but custom headers will run you that much too or well around that. Its not easy making them for WKs.. there isnt much room.

Re: 2005 WK Hemi headers

Yeah, he gave me an estimate of about a $1k for custom headers. After chatting with him, it'll probably be cheaper for me to buy the OBX headers (which I did) and have him install them. I'm having him do it because I apparently have a broken bolt on my passenger side exhaust manifold that's causing a CEL. After they put in my exhaust, it was so free-flowing that it started pulling in air. A broken header bolt is something I really don't want to fight with, so I'm going to let him fix it, lol.

I broke a bolt when i was taking off one of the studs for the heat shield.. luckily for me it wasnt super tired and got it out with vise grips. Hope they dont rape you in hours and you'll enjoy it.

Nah, these guys have a solid reputation. They're also the ones who did my Flowmaster setup. They charged $850, including tax. Very reasonable for a full custom catback.

$850 for a muffler swap? You thought that was a good deal?

Re: 2005 WK Hemi headers

Not a muffler swap. They cut the y-pipe and routed dual pipes with Flowmaster 50's all the way back to where the stock pipes ended.

For some reason, I can't upload the pics with the Tapatalk app...
