Not bad

Core exchange? What's the expected turn around?

Re: 2008+ 3.7 WK owners....ASSEMBLE!!!

That price is NOT including a core exchange' thats just for the actual work. I think an 05-06 manifold is like 120 shipped brand new. Maybe a little less. Turnaround as usual is heavily dependent on my workload, but it would be a few weeks, or a full day effort at the shop.

I could make a price to include a core rebate, but it would have to be more expensive to account for manifolds. People are bad enough about sending 40.00 throttle bodies, cant imagine how long and what kind of excuses Ill get for people who promise to send manifolds back and dont.

This stuff is not as simple as porting a TB so I am a little more demanding on how much I make off of it.

Understandable. Then include a higher price and once you receive the core, refund the core amount?( if you don't already do this )

I'm down with this mod once I get the $. Would HemiFever need to change anything about my tune?

Yeah, I guess I could do that. IDK. People see a price and it kinda discourages them.

You need to get a wideband and or a datalogger so you can monitor your tune. He will likely need to add some fuel. If you cant afford the equipment to monitor your AFRs/PIDs you shouldnt be playing with tuning to begin with.

So more fuel... Would this mod decrease my mpg? I'm seeing 26 highway right now.

I am referring mainly to more fuel at WOT...At part-throttle the fuel demands will change, but Sean will likely let the fuel trims do their thing and not have to make any changes. He will probably just stick to WOT tuning. Without datalogs I can't tell for sure and neither can you. Neither can Sean, for that matter.

What speed do you cruise at? What rpm?

It is hard to say since I know there are some obvious differences between the pre-07 3.7 manifolds and the 2007-2010 manifolds. WITH PROPER TUNING, I would expect gas mileage to stay the same, possibly increase slightly.

My TB porting has led to increases in MPG...but this is a little different.

Re: 2008+ 3.7 WK owners....ASSEMBLE!!!

I spoke with Sean and he told me that just by adding a ported intake manifold I don't need custom tuning just yet. But if I decide to throw those headers on to get custom tuning and I should see an increase in mpg when I feather it.

Right now, I can cruise 70 highway at just under 2.25

Re: 2008+ 3.7 WK owners....ASSEMBLE!!!

Just an update to this thread...this is a PM I got from Brian not all that long ago

Quote:
The difference is like night and day. The throttle is a lot more responsive and driving on the highways is a blast. Its a steady climb all the way to 110 (I made sure there were no cars around before tryin lol) I am very satisfied with the results. Every little bit helps!
I am trying to get Diablosport to get custom tuning available for the 3.7 crowd so mods like this one will become more commonplace. Please chime in below...

Im still not entirely convinced any cutting is needed to begin with. If it was, how did they get the manifold in to begin with?

Anyhow, IF cutting is required it is likely just above where the TB sits. If it is anything like my old WJ there is a metal flap piece under where the wipers sit etc. It can be trimmed without it being noticed.
