Yes. I did read the whole thread. Just because it runs fine doesn't mean its optimal. The difference between the two is that the fastman is tapered. Meaning it funnels the air into the manifold. The 4.7 tb will leave a lip from it being a half inch larger diameter. That will slow the air down and will hurt performance. Also the fastman tb has a larger throttle plate to take advantage of the larger bore. The reason the fastman cost more is because he buys a new tb, then reworks it into a performance version. Thats the product you get.

Again, the 3.7 will not be able to process all the extra air. Its good for about 400cfm @ 6k rpms. The stock intake track is good for 650 to 700cfm. Only true way to take advantage of the added flow is to increase displacement.

What about a tapered 4.7 tb? I'm interested in this too.. At the end I'm sure it won't help

Sure its possible....but you're still stuck with a lip from the manifold. In all honesty it would only make a difference past 4500rpms. To really take advantage of it we would need to up the displacement to at least a 4.0 or figure a way to crank 7k out of it

Look. Im not knocking the idea. But on a N/A 3.7 your not gonna see the full benifit from it. Sure it will help with throttle response but any improvement in power will be higher in the powerband. Now if our engines were turbo, it would be a different story. That tb on a turbo 3.7, in theory, will give the best benifits and best overall gains.
