Re: 3.7l performance love

Quick question for those that have the 3.7 with a CAI. I just installed an airraid on the beast and when i fired it up within minutes the check engine light came on. This happened to anyone else? I called 4wheelparts, where i got the intake, and they didnt have any idea why it was coming on. They said that it shouldnt have. I went back and checked everything and its installed correctly according to the directions. I'm waiting to hear back from airraid at this time. Any ideas would be great. I guess i could just go run a diagnostic on it, but what fun would that be right? Lol. Thanks

Re: 3.7l performance love

Bring it to autozone, or your local parts store and have them read the DTC codes.. It will be a lot easier to narrow it down with that info.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Call # 2 of the day to Hypertech and still no update or an ETA.

I truly want to pack this thing back up and return it tonight. Their customer service straight up sucks!

Did you disconnect the battery before the install?

Re: 3.7l performance love

Just disconnect the negative lead on the battery for a volume of minutes and it will go away. It happened to me

Re: 3.7l performance love

I'm going on a Hypertech bashing crusade if I don't get my update by today!!

I just blasted them via email for the horrible service I have encountered so far, for a product I paid good money for and expected to use immediately out of the box per their claims.

Sorry for the rant, just extremely frustrated for such a simple fix.

I feel your pain Geevis, I just updated from the tire programmer to the max energy programmer and when updating it's saying no cal found. Currently waiting on a phone call back from them to let me know whats going on.

I wouldn't wait by the phone.. Their customer service is somewhat of a joke. When I plugged the programmer into my PC to get the update and it wasn't found, it asked me for my contact info and said an update would take 24-48 hours.

I fully expected an email saying something like "Thank you for purchasing our product, we apologize for the incovenience but our programmers will work on your update as soon as possible." Instead I received nothing and have had to call and email numerous times without getting any type of ETA or timeframe for the fix.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Thanks for the insight. That was the problem too. I had connected the battery back up becore i plugged the temp circuit up. Quick disconnect of the battery and plugged the circuit in before the battery reconnect. Good to go. Thanks guys! I definitely feel like a dumbass. I just figured it couldn't have been something that simple! Lol
