Re: 3.7l performance love

updated

added 180 degree thermostat.

now jet list is only for the 4.7l from 2000+. but the wj and wk thermostate for the 4.7 is the same mopar part number (68174083AA) as the 3.7. so the jet one will fit also

I've done it to a couple other cars (95ZJ and 98 Ram) and I didnt really notice anything. The temp gauge needle sat slightly lower, and I lost 1-1.5mpg. Oh, and the heat didnt work as well since the radiator fluid wasnt as hot as before. I MIGHT have gained a hp or two since the engine was cooler.

IMHO It would better serve people that do alot of driving in super hot conditions and for those who do alot of towing.

Hitch, when is "right now" in your book? :P

I need pics because I'm considering pulling the trigger on these!

Re: 3.7l performance love

Go ahead and get them. Worst case scenario is that you have to cut the Y-Pipe flanges and have them welded to fit the header flanges. Not that bad IMHO.

Re: 3.7l performance love

But that entailes me using an exhaust shop which is more $

I'd like to get an overall idea on what total price I'm looking at. Otherwise they could probably just sit in my garage for another month...

Night, when do you plan to have them put on?

Re: 3.7l performance love

Waiting for performance results. I might ditch the SRT and just get a 2013 Yamaha R1 leaving me with more money put towards the 3.7

I'll just hate spending over $30,000 for a used 2010 SRT with quite a bit of miles on it.

I was going to do it this weekend since it was gorgeous outside but the ole lady took it to work and left me with her 05 Cavalier So instead I'm giving the cavy a tune up, installing a pacesetter header, shocks, and eibach springs and sway bars on her car. lol
