Re: 3.7l performance love

to add on headers and drivers side: there is a small issue with the header rubbing on the bracket for the steering shaft but can be fixed by trimming it back some

Re: 3.7l performance love

found another mod for us DBW (drive by wire) guys. it's called the sprint booster and its supposed to remove the delay you get when you get on it, makes it feel more like throttle cable

Re: 3.7l performance love

Jeff... I love you.

Thank you for finally answering the header question!!!!!

Why the injectors? Notice a drop in mpg? And from a '99 cobra?? ??

And is this sprint booster the same as the grounding mod people use to give the TB more voltage?

hey no prob, the injectors i got from a friend for free from when he had his cobra, there 26 lbs and the jeep 3.7 are 21.5lbs, but not really a drop in mileage but it dose feel a little stronger in the mid to top end of the power band. driving around fort campbell (like grandma) i can get up to 20mpg.

the sprint booster is a modual that plugs in above the gas pedal, plugs in behind the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control Modual) and into the harness from there. it has 3 settings, off, mild, and agressive. boosts throttle response by up to 25-40% depending on vehical. NOT A GROUNDING MOD, as it dosnt ground the tb, it amplifies the signal from the ETC and sends a srtonger signal to the tb

the headers knocked 2 tenths off my 1/8mile time, that night i ran a 10.37 @68.92 mph. lost the time slip when i cleaned out the jeep

JeepKid is sending me his '08 manifold hopefully tomorrow. I knew it would be a PITA having swapped manifolds in a 4.7 WJ, but evidently Chrysler never designed the 08+ 3.7 to be able to remove the manifold with the engine still in the bay. Unless there was or is some sort of glaring oversight preventing the manifold from being removed, it appears that a small, invisible (once the hood is closed), cut is going to have to be made to remove the manifold. Oy.

Hopefully I can work my magic on it. I do not THINK this will be an issue for 05 and 06 3.7 WKs.

actually i pulled mine to paint it, yesnit was difficult but not impossible, and you dont need to cut any thing or pull motor, my entire intake system is painted and mine is an 08.ill put some pics up later on
