Re: 3.7l performance love

Any negative effects from using the smaller pulley? Anything intenally thrown off by this?

Re: 3.7l performance love

So far, has been no negative effects on the truck. I run a two amp stereo system, not real huge but with about 60 amps of draw and no "dimming lights" problems either.

Re: 3.7l performance love

@StrongJeff did you get the pulley?

My sub runs at 60w/channel so tht shouldn't be a problem for me.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Running the smaller 25% under-drive should not cause any issues with charging. By going to the smaller ID your "Full CHARGE" RPM would be raised from 600RPMs to about 850-900 RPMs... your vehicle typically spends more time above 900RPMs than bellow so charging should not be an issue for most.

Now if you have a huge stereo then you may need to install a slightly beefed up alternator but I have not heard of anyone needing to do so.

Early on there was some discussion about the price of the ASP vs the ATI.

There is a HUGE difference between the ATI Superdamper and the ASP pulley and they are priced accordingly.

The ASP pulley is just that. They only include the damper because your factory damper is a 1 piece design and in order for them to sell you a pulley they need to include a balancer "lead weight" for you to mount their pulley to. The factory damper is more effective at removing harmful engine harmonics than the ASP pulley damper. In my opinion this is a STEP DOWN in engine protection. The ASP is a PULLEY 1st and a Damper 2nd.

The ATI SUPERDAMPER is a high performance harmonic damper which exceeds the factory damping capability at every point in the RPM range. After install you will notice a smoother idle and revs through out the RPM range. Hands down, the ATI SUPERDAMPER is a true performance modification.... Ohh Yeah... and they also offer an optional 25% underdrive option. The ATI SUPERDAMPER is a performance harmonic Damper 1st and an optional underdrive 2nd.

I hope that makes since.

AIR RAM PERFORMANCE worked directly with ATI Performance to design test & R&D the 4.7L & 3.7L Superdampers. It was us who paid for the R&D and brought the 25% underdrive option to the 3.7L & 4.7L Superdamper. We did this because we knew the ASP pulley was the only option at the time and we wanted a better option that offered the best protection possible for our engines. With that said, the ATI SUPERDAMPER is the best option hands down. For one reason it will protect your engine better.... and offer a small gain with the 25% underdrive. Two birds one stone!

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

Its not a question of interest, all I can do is work with what the software supports, SCT doesnt support 07+ pcms.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Is the APS Precision torque converter worth purchasing? I'm sure it's a good build. I'm asking would my WK benefit from it.
