Re: 3.7l performance love

What brand of glass pack did you get? and how long? Reason I ask is because I had a 24" CherryBomb on my 95 Grand Cherokee. At first it wasn't too bad but after about 2 months the fiberglass had burnt off and it had gotten exceptionally loud. I had mine turned out right in front of the passenger side rear wheel.

Re: 3.7l performance love

I have been thinking lately, I may try to lighten the wk. now I had it weighed and it kind of was a surprise to me. I had thought it came in at about 4380lbs. when I had I weighed it came in at 4280lbs. that's with a sub and two amps and the spare tire in place. now it had a 1/2 tank of fuel in it at the time. I will keep posting on my progress. I ditched the insulation under the hood a long while back cuz it was falling apart. today I ditched the spare. the next thing on my hit list is the hoist/crank for the spare tire, im sure I could knock about 15-20 lbs out with that...

Further candidates: rear passenger seats, cargo space floor...

there is a few reasons she don't like them and I have track data to back it up;

1-the lack of exhaust scavenging hurts power by not having a balance of exhaust flow between cylinder banks

2-no cats and a full flow thru exhaust shifted the powerband up by about 800 rpm (don't feel it pull hard till about 3500)

3- My fastest time before de catting and duals was a 10.376 @ 68.97mph in the 1/8th (on dynomax + headers + stock mid-pipes) latest run about 3 weeks back was a 10.924 @ 65mph in the 1/8th (air temp played into it tho, it was 81 outside)

4-city fuel mileage is 13.3mpg while doing my best to baby it... ironically I will average 26mpg and peak at 34 highway?!?

on the plus side, the sound is epic in person, ppl ask if it's an srt. check out the vids posted upbove, and youll see what I mean. (that was recorded on a sony cyber shot digital camera!)

Re: 3.7l performance love

Weight reduction update; spare tire hoist is out for a weight savings of around 14 pounds.

4280:
-Underhood insulation
-Full size spare
-Spare hoist
should be around 4200 est. now with audio equipment and 1/2 tank of fuel
