3- My fastest time before de catting and duals was a 10.376 @ 68.97mph in the 1/8th (on dynomax + headers + stock mid-pipes) latest run about 3 weeks back was a 10.924 @ 65mph in the 1/8th (air temp played into it tho, it was 81 outside)

4-city fuel mileage is 13.3mpg while doing my best to baby it... ironically I will average 26mpg and peak at 34 highway?!?

on the plus side, the sound is epic in person, ppl ask if it's an srt. check out the vids posted upbove, and youll see what I mean. (that was recorded on a sony cyber shot digital camera!)
thnx for clarification

Re: 3.7l performance love

Was searching around on JF and found a thread where a guy is using an electric TB from a 4.7L on his 3.7. The 4.7 throttle body stock vs. stock is a half inch larger than the 3.7. He's had it on for a few days and hasn't had any problems yet. This could be a great upgrade for us looking for more air.

but then you run into the issue of throwing your AFR's off by having more air then the engine can use. you could compensate by upgrading the fuel system but you may mot be able to use all the air and fuel. AFR's and VE are very crucial.

Re: 3.7l performance love

A larger throttle body allows more air to be sucked into the motor, yes. But it's not to the extent that the MAP sensor and fuel injectors cannot compensate. The MAP sensor will notice the increase in airflow just as it did when you add an intake and allow more fuel into the combustion chamber.

Re: 3.7l performance love

10mm larger than stock.

I'm going to jump in on it. It's not a very expensive gamble 70-80 bucks on eBay and I'll also hook up the wideband to monitor any problems.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Great news in the world of 3.7 exhaust setups.... I am in the early, early stages of designing a new setup/new configuration that is FULL FLOW THRU and MINIMIZES DRONE in the same style as the srt

Re: 3.7l performance love

this will be planned as my final setup on the truck, im thinking these parts:

jba headers
mf high flow mid pipe/cats
solo performance 1 in/ 2 out LM or Mach Muffler
solo performance QR or MR reso's (Possibly, not final part of early development yet)
Solo performance J-pipes to remove drone and bad frequencies

and since solo only carries a kit for the srt I want to fab up my own using their parts. sketches coming soon and then cost calculations to follow
