does anybody know where to get a trans dip stick?? or how much fluid it is? gonna be doing a full service in the summer and don't wanna take it in for the tranny

i believe rockauto has a dipstick and ill get back to you on fluid amounts. Oh and they have the filter too.

Trans takes 9.5-10qts to do a full overhaul. 4-6qts for a sevice. ATF+4

When I've dropped mine I drop the pan, filter,use an empty clean pan, and after letting the trans drain until it's not dripping anymore. I drain the pan into an empty gallon container, and two quart bottles. I guess they can all be a little different mine has been six quarts that's what I put back in, and I've never had any computer messages. I have also thought about getting a stick just to be extra sure.
