Re: 3.7l performance love

Need some opinions.... So im looking to get just a muffler that will sound good on my 3.7. But not too loud. Ive been hearing from a lot if people that magnaflow is what I'm looking for. So i went over to this custom exhaust place who gave me a quote of 130 for the muffler and install. What do you guys think? Should i got for it or do you think it'll be a waste if money?

Re: 3.7l performance love

I paid 120 for the a flowmaster 50 series. I like it, but i am sure it will be even better once the TB and TB spacer, along with an airraid intake is installed.

I paid 200 for mine. 150 for the muffler (magnaflow 18 in dual in single out) and 50 for install (cutting off old pipes from muffler, welding on to new muffler, cutting flanges, welding to mid pipes)

Re: 3.7l performance love

The TB, TB spacer and air intake are easy. A quick vid on youtube and it made the process of me buying those faster than what I planned.

My dad just replaced my bros muffler the other day. Im sure he would be able to do it on our lift, but the only issue is that he does not agree on the muffler. He thinks it'll sounds dumb and doesn't approve. Its a good thing its my baby and ima do whatever i choose to lol

Stay away from the tb spacer bro. It does nothing on our engines and could actually lose power from it. The whole point to a tb spacer is to allow fuel more time to atomize before it enters the combustion chamber. This only works on engine where the fuel injectors are in the tb or throttle body injection as its known. On our engines however, the fuel injectors are in the intake runners on the heads and spray into the intake ports just before the valves. The tb spacer lengthens the intake bro.

If ya need a mechanic friend, I am a mechanic and would more then be happy to be friends.

I know this pic is not the 3.7, but the concept is the same.
