The powerwire is a resistor that plugs into the IAT sensor wire and tricks the pcm into thinking its getting colder air.

Turbo is your best bet bro. After of course rebuilding the enging with forged rods and lower cr pistons. My ultimate goal is 450 plus on 10 to 12 psi of boost

I thought about trying to port my own, but I'm not sure I have cojones to do it. It's my only mode of transportation (except feet, and it's 90' outside!).

I'm sure the Pro's (Ryan and Dan) didn't get it right on the 1st try... Well maybe they did.

From a physics perspective, I understand what it takes to do it, but I DON'T understand the repercussions of doing it wrong (except for metal shavings in the manifold).

Well I would worry about shavings in the manifold as you would do it with it off the truck. Ive hand ported my manifold itself in the last 4 inches of runner before it enters the heads. That was a 3 day project. One thing that can go wrong is over porting it. My last tb I had I wanted to see the max I could go. Lets just say that was the biggest part of the high idle issue I had.
