I may have been a little cryptic on my response when you asked what the difference was on the two tb's. Sorry about that bro. Im tired, its 0141 here.

It's a good mod bro, if I didn't think it would help, I wouldn't have installed one on mine. Best part is, when it's installed it looks just like stock, but you know its not.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Sorry about the delay in my reply @Strongjeff. I hate when work gets in the way of my fun!

A systems engineer. Designing automated systems -like for a bottling plant, or a conveyor system for eviscerating chickens... Fun stuff like that.

Re: 3.7l performance love

Again @Strongjeff. Well said to BlackN'Blue.
That's what I'm going for -throttle response. I *hate* the lag time!

@BlackN'Blue my current TB has 95.5 k on it. For the difference in beer $$, I'm going used. IOW, my current TB "works" fine; it works as designed (it just doesn't do what I want it to do). I guess I'm saying used is probably fine. That's just me, and my beer money is WAY under funded!

Re: 3.7l performance love

A bit off topic, but there's even a backup chicken killer if one gets through. It's kinda cool to see the whole thing in progress. Bring something for your nose!!! I've only smelled 1 -maybe 3 things that smell worse. It'll DEFINITELY test your gag-reflexes!

Re: 3.7l performance love

@BlackN'Blue: To further qualify what @Strongjeff is saying: y'all have an '08, so you have a drive by wire (DBW) TB. Mine is an '06, so it's mechanical. It may be a little more $$ for you. DBW is POST 2007 1/2.

I've also heard that any 4.7 is a direct fit for y'all w/DBW. IOW, go to the bone yard, find a 4.7L with the DBW, and it's a direct fit. Not to take any money from Dan.

I read that on the Internet, so take it for what it's worth. Heck, it probably says, somewhere on the Web, I don't like beer!!!!

4.7 tb will not just bolt up. Patterns a little wider on the 4.7 over the 3.7

Re: 3.7l performance love

Oh it's *awesome*!! WELL worth the $125 bucks!! It's a bugger to get out/in!!

Here's my little write-up on it. After I drove it for a day, I had to properly torque the sway bar ends. It's tight quarters on the left!

SRT8 Rear Sway Bar install on 3.7 WK
