This is a toughie. Sounds simple enough and straight forward but just takes time and patience. Those rusted bolts sound like a bitch though. What you use for leverage to turn them off? You only used the grade 8 bolts on the header to exhaust line y pipe? Not also to attach the headers to the engine itself?
Sorry bro, almost forgot to answer these two questions lol...

Correct I only used the grade 8 bolts on the y-pipe and not in the heads. reason is, the y-pipe were it bolts to the header experience's a much higher temperature then the bolts in the heads do, also there is more weight being supported at the bolts from the y-pipe.

Re: 3.7l performance love
There was a handfull of things changed just in the 3.7 alone.
changes to the 3-sev mid year 2007 include;

-the change from the JTEC pcm to the NGC pcm
--includes a new reluctor wheel and cam tone rings
-a revised cam profile for a better idle quality
-Drive by wire
-EGR was added
--pre o7.5 didn't have an EGR
-improved fuel injectors
--better spray pattern over pre 07
-improved ignition coils

there may be a few more but I don't remember right now

He has an electric ratchet and impact gun? Those are kinda hard to come buy, good powerful ones atleast and are often too big b/c of the battery. If you can borrow a compressor from some one I have a air ratchet and impact gun. But really I don't think you'll need them. When we pulled my top end apart I don't think we even used the air tools. And power tools can't provide the arm grease needed, at best they can just do the easy threads faster

Please dont use power tools bro. Theres no room under there for em and you dont want to risk snapping a bolt in the head

Sorry, y'all. Gotta ask. What's a tune? I'm still trying to figure stuff out...

What's the difference between a "tune" and the Max Energy thing (is that a programmer?)?

What's the difference between between a programmer and a tune?

I really want one of the ME (Max Energy) things. I found $100!! I'm like 1/3 the way there....

Jeff, how hard was it to use? Do you HAVE TO HAVE a Windows based PC for it?
I'm SURE I'll txt you for further instructions once I have it in my hands!!

Ok. How does one do a custom tune (can it be done by oneself)?

What is the benefit of a custom tune over a canned tune?

Have you done a tune, Alex?

Thanks, bro! I guess I'm not ready for custom (not yet anyway). Canned will have to do. Their Website says 25 HP gain! I'll take that.

Yea, but Josh knows what's going on and what he's doing!!! I'm still a rookie!! I was stoked just to get rid of my stoopid resonemesis!!
