Re: 4.7 afe vs. K and N

seems that the one big advantage of the aFe vs KN is protection vs wet conditions?

Re: 4.7 afe vs. K and N

If I put on an AFE Stage 2 and wet/shampoo the motor, do I need to cover the filter or heat shield or something?

The only one I've seen with a "heat shield" is the beautiful aFe stage 2 ... was I not looking hard enough?? :-\ I see you have the AEM BRUTE FORCE ... is that a nicer one?? The aFe stage 2 has arrived but I am not installing it until I get my SC VIVID LINQ and my Flowmaster cat back the 50 series that just came out.. the reason being I want to install ALL 3 at once and go.from driving stock vs all of these "bolt-ons" @ once ;-) :-) ;-)

It had an actual Dino sheet with it that proved it produced hp and tourqe so I bought it and its awesome, it has a nice shield that helps against heat soak

Your going to like it increase in throttle response and the sound is amazing. Yes the filter wrap will keep dry.

Re: 4.7 afe vs. K and N

what about drop-in filters?

everybody talks about how the stock airbox is capable of enough airflow...

something like K&N 33-2233?
