4.7 Driver side back header bolts broken

Anyone ever tackle this on their own? Got a good friend who is a 20+ year jeep mechanic (who is unfortunately 8 hours away) who said it's easy.....unless you f' up the threads....yeahhhhhh.......
If youve taken it in, what was the $$ and or hours?
