4.7 K&N 63 Series Air Charger

What I want to show in this vid though is the sound that the K&N aircharger gives. No need for muffler delete or anything else. Maybe sct or superchips tuning. But without digging too deep into your pocket. This will get it on for ya. At least it does for me.
People always asking. "What did you do to make your SUV sound like a Nascar"
When I go through a small country side village. They are like. WTF I've never seen this kind of thing.
Best mod as of yet. Will get my suprchips in a few weeks. So we'll see what that does.

Re: 4.7 K&N 63 Series Air Charger

The problem with buying intakes for noise is that you have to typically load the engine up either by lugging it or by applying heavy throttle to hear anything. Which leads to higher fuel consumption.

Porting or boring the throttle body also makes it louder/deeper, and at lower rpm. That truck would sound even better with a low restriction exhaust.

I am guessing you have a Gen 2 4.7 with the 300 hp. Did you notice a significant gain from adding the intake in terms of performance?

Yes Ryan the noise comes to life only when I step on it. But that's also a positive thing. Because I get both things. A quiet ride and a loud one. Depends on my foot PSI

I don't know about porting or boring. But I do know that with a low restriction exhaust there would be a lot more sound. Constantly.

AS for performance. Sure it made some huge differences. Not sure it improved my 0 - 60 times(never did any tests). But got a huge difference in throttle response and smother and what feels like better gear shift ratios.
