4.7l performance chip

has anyone heard of PCD performance chip direct ?The PCD Performance module simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor. The module will work with the sensor to provide a new signal to your vehicles ECU. The ECU then adjusts your air/fuel and timing advance curves to new performance settings there claiming up to 60 hp, better fuel econmy, etc.suppose to be easy to install, all for around 60.00, could someone tell me if this is something i would want to buy for my 06 4.7l

CRAP!

sorry to be so blunt...but all of those are ripoffs. Get a SuperChips hand held programmer or SCT programmer

Re: 4.7l performance chip

you plug them into the obd2 port and upload the tunes supplied. Superchips has ONLY canned tunes.....mileage, towing, 87 and 91 tunes. Theres also some other advantages to the superchips...tranny tuning etc.

The SCT programmer can upload custom tunes made just for your Jeep and its mods by a master tuner.

Re: 4.7l performance chip

That first post sounds like the resistor mod we did on the older 4.7's a few years ago. It sends an altered signal to the computer from the pcm. I remember it advanced timing slightly on my 2002 4.7. Gave it a bit more pep.

Re: 4.7l performance chip

Scott, do you really think that Superchips module really makes a substantial difference? I have been contemplating getting one but i see so many people selling theirs on here, almost seems as if nobody likes it.

Superchips is excellent, but Diablo has custom tuning capability, which is nice to have.

Are you saying that because you're trying to help a buddy out or do you have a SC on your 4.7 and you absolutely love it? haha

For some reason I thought you had a 5.7, which is why I mentioned Diablo...Diablo has tuned some 04-07 4.7s, but Im not sure if it ever left beta testing. I no longer own a 4.7, or a Jeep product for that matter, so I don't have a horse in this race. I simply have blown alot of money on various setups, so with the help of my empty wallet and personal experience, I am advising my opinion.

Now that Im talking about 04-07 4.7s specifically, (if Diablo is not available), Superchips is hands-down the best (if not only) option. Trans tuning is sweet....

Re: 4.7l performance chip

sct supports ENDS with the 06 MY for the 4.7/

diablo does not support the 4.7 currently.

for 4.7 07 and later SuperChips or nothing/
