ok yes it still runs I tried to take a video of it but it doesn't seem to be as loud as it was its almost like a rattle/ping/metal to metal grind I heard it going up a hill @ 2k rpm but when I got to the garage the exhaust is louder than the noise

Well the good news is its not a spun bearing. ok is it a grinding noise under load only ? starting to sound like a broken flex plate.more info will help does what and when.

great yes under load....before I changed the oil you could hear it at idle I used mobile one 5w-30 synthetic and now I hear it @2k rpm or up hill today I ran it hard so I could take a video but no good I hear a slight noise appearing to come from the driver side of the motor

sounds normal for 100k motor.i think your best bet is to stop in a local shop and let them take a road test.

Rainman,how many miles are on your plugs,cheap gas and or a need for a tune up will give you a pinging,knocking,rattle sound under load.

Not sure how many miles it's been about a year on the tune up and plugs as for the gas I use sunoco plus

change plugs every 30,000 ml so your good there and on the gas.
hard to tell without hearing it.

yes on the can almost put it on today but it was so nice out i gave the jeep a bath

I'll try it again I have everything dynomatted last time I tried all I heard was the exhaust system. .....ok that's my next purchase after I figure out what to do with the motor will a 6.1 fit without a lot of hassle
