Air Intake + Cam swap + exhaust remapping

Like the title says, I plan on doing this.. over the time aswell I don't have funds to move head on and do it all right now, though I was looking for advices from someone that did those mods already..

Air Intake: Cold air or OEM box with high flow filter or cone filter + custom design piping? It would be K&N on either choice. I also would like to know, on a 4.7L engine, the box over the engine serves which purpose.. is it removable, what does it actually do?

Cam swapping: I plan on switching OEM cams to Comp cams or another company.. not high performance ones.. just ''street racing'' cams to give that sound that makes it feels it's gonna eat a prius for dinner.. I expect a gain between 20-40hp from that mod.. maybe more

Exhaust remapping: I don't believe in single exits for V8s.. It's just not existing.. I will make left and right side on the same pattern: OEM header goes to Magnaflow high flow catalytic conv then heads to a tubular 3'' diameter 36'' long muffler, Magnaflow too, that's gonna turn 90 degree to the tip right before the rear wheel (that should be about under the read door handle). I'd like opinions on that setup idea, if you're agains't the idea please state why and how you would see a better fit.

I expect price of items altogether to be a total of 500-700$, I will do the air intake part so no time to pay there.. Might be able to do the pipe welding myself, though I don't have a bender so I'll probably have to pay for the bending and the cams install..

.
to answer your question, the box on the intake manifold is to reduce induction noise, think of it like a muffler for your intake. same for the 3.7
