Air intake cleaner

I bought the air intake cleaner, CCC, and fuel system cleaner triple pack at the dealer last week to give it a try. A couple weeks before I gave my throttle body the royal treatment, taking it off and delicately cleaning it. I have a 2006 5.7.

So, on the bottle of air intake cleaner it says to spray directly into throttle body, 2-3 second shots, while engine is running, until bottle is empty.I did this, the engine wanted to stall, but I would stop spraying and it would even out. Once I stalled it, but started it right back up. When I finished spraying I ran my Jeep hard for 10 minutes.

My Jeep was pretty loud before, with the KN 63 intake on it, but now it seems even louder at half throttle and WOT. I ran the Jeep for about 80,000 miles without a catch can, so I'm thinking the inside of my manifold was pretty dirty.... probably a lot cleaner now. Had my catch can on for about 5k now.

Anyway, didn't throw any codes or ruin my throttle body. The CCC says to use in conjunction with some sort of Winn cleaning system.... don't really know about that.

I may put some CCC into each cylinder when I pull my plugs next time.

Re: Air intake cleaner

Seems like an aerosol seafoam. Its definately something I would consider, thanks for the heads up. Heres a video I found.

Re: Air intake cleaner

the triple pack at the dealer is $49.... which is a little steep if you ask me... considering I can't even use the Combustion Chamber Cleaner
