Airaid or K&N?

Im looking into buying an intake, but just not sure on which brand to purchase from. Any recommendations? Is there really a difference in brand?

Thanks

Re: Airaid or K&N?

I have an Airraid with a FR TB. I like it. Nothing too crazy, you really hear it when you open up the throttle all the way around 4000 rpms it really kicks up. Not much just from a normal start a light...not sure if that helps

Re: Airaid or K&N?

I recommend the AFE Stage 2 with ProDry filter - no oil to deal with like the others that which could potentially foul out electrical components.

And it also roars out WOT!!

Re: Airaid or K&N?

Air raid tube, K&N filter.

The K&N 57 kit for our 3.7 doesn't delete the resonator box.

Hello PineappleXpress10,

Yes there is a large difference in the overall quality of components, and the Fit & Finish. The AIRAID filters also offer superior filtration and are available in Oiled or Non-Oiled depending on your preference.

Thanks,
David

We only offer a complete intake system for the 3.7L.

however if all you are looking for is an OEM replacement. I would recommend going with the AIRAID premium filter if you are looking for the best combination of airflow & filtration possible.

The AIRAID Filter has been independently 3rd party tested by the Southwest Research Institute and confirmed to offer superior filtration to any cotton only filter on the market.

Thanks,
David

Really wish I would have done this...

@David, have there been any test with airraid vs K&N filters?

Re: Airaid or K&N?

It is a total waste of money to put any of those on, as they will make it run worse on the street, and just make horrible noise.

Re: Airaid or K&N?

Geez dude. you're so opinionated and have no facts to back them up. K&Ns dyno results show a 7hp increase across the board on the V6 and the sound is only a plus and is amazing!

Are you a 60 year old man?!
