This was probably the biggest reason why I was very skeptical. I'm not an electrical engineer, I only have a basic understanding of circuits. I took the unit apart before install, the inside revealed a circuit board connected to an LED, also with a capacitor, a bunch of resistors, and (for lack of better understanding) some type of processor.

I was always sort of embarassed at all the ticking/clicking noises from this Hemi, even just at idle. My goal with this device was to (at very least) quiet the electrical noise from the 5.7 Hemi. This device appears to have succeeded in that, by making my engine run smoother and quieter, than before the install. (still have not installed the grounding kit) The engine also appears to start better in the mornings. I will comment that I have seen no significant difference in the mpg.

l installed it in my 2005 5.7 with 200k km yesterday and then went on a 330km trip. This is what i can tell you.

1. Drives and shifts smoother through the gears.

2. The mds stays on-off for longer periods and the transition is smoother

3. It stays in top and overdrive for longer periods, before the slightest and i mean slightest change of incline, throttle position would make it change. to the point of being so annoying i would leave it in forth

4, increased mpg.

Off the 1st three there is absolutely no doubt. The only way i can describe the change in smoothness is a bit like the difference between iridium plugs with 40k km on them and brand new recommended plugs.

The only one im slightly sceptical about is the mpg. The 2 mpg improvement on this trip i got being all attributed to the gadget is doubtful. Most off that i believe is down to the fact its warming up here, i didn't have the heater cranked, wipers on and rear demist on all the time. Some maybe but not all.

lm happy.
I'm interested in the Mega Raizin product, but apparently the market is flooded with fakes here, and it's getting nigh impossible to tell the difference in them, especially when buying online. It also seems that they really don't have any licensed distributors to buy the product from! Ugh.

Re: Apexi super voltage stabilizer 5.7

Bit the bullet and ordered the Mega Raizin kit with grounding cables today. The seller is guaranteeing the authenticity of the product, but I'll make sure to check all the features to make sure upon receipt. Will report back upon install.

Another two cents....You may be right about opinions only being valid if we have one of these systems installed.
Opinions are like assholes...everybody's got one and lots of them are crappy.
It's DATA we're looking for....hard data from an independent source.

Installed mine yesterday. Had to disconnect the battery to do it, so it reset the PCM too. That being noted, after driving for some time, when MDS re-learned my driving patterns, the engagement/un-engagement is definitely smoother. I when I installed the Mega Raizin, I installed 2 additional grounding cables, and will be installing an additional one when I get a bit more time. The unit is grounded to both the body and the TB now, and will later be connected to the alternator for more grounding. The kit came with 5 8GA wires of varying lengths to ground to the unit, so I'll likely be eventually adding them all.

Haven't driven enough to make a mpg estimate, however, along with the smoother MDS shifting, acceleration seems less jumpy too.

Will update in a couple weeks to rule out the reset of the PCM as causing all of these benefits.

Thanks for the update! If you have time can you post some pics of it installed? Also what seller did you go through?

Also, before anyone says anything, YES, I am aware that my Jeep is blue and that conduit is red...but my motorcycle is red and it's what I had laying around...maybe I'll replace it later if I have some free time...YEAH RIGHT.

Also, I mounted the unit to the battery using Velcro instead of the double side tape it came with. I cut it around the handles on the battery so that it can easily be moved/removed. Additionally, the Velcro should act as a layer of insulation from any direct heat coming from the battery.

I know the directions say to mount it with the wire inlets facing down (to keep water out), but I couldn't find a better location to mount the unit and still have the LCD easily readable. And plus, this is my street queen; there shouldn't be any water up there anyway.

Re: Apexi super voltage stabilizer 5.7

Does anyone think these could be adapted to a 3.7?

I don't believe that the 3.7L is DBW but I could be wrong. That being said, I suppose it could regulate the normal voltage fluctuations at your battery, but you don't have systems like MDS that need extra help from the voltage regulations.

I would recommend doing the big 3 upgrade on our 3.7. I noticed better charging and running performance.
