Best bang for your buck performance upgrades for 3.7 Laredo?

I have a 2009 WK Laredo Base 3.7L. What are some nice performance upgrades that won't break the bank. Mainly looking for some added horsepower and better sounding exhaust as well as some MPG help if available. Right now everything is stock except my tires and wheels.
Cheers!

Re: Best bang for your buck performance upgrades for 3.7 Laredo?

Almost a year with no answer, so I'll chime in. Pretty sure the consensus on here will be exhaust, intake, tuner and ported throttle body.

I replaced my factory muffler with a magnaflow but kept stock piping. It's the longest magnaflow you can get. Forgot part #. I have ported TB...gives it a nicer throttle response. Also, have a Hypertech tuner. By far this upgrade was the best. I was lucky enough to find mine on on eBay, used and unlocked. Tuner/tune is like night and day. Really wakes it up. Hoping to get an intake soon. Injen brand is very popular with the 3.7L folks.

Re: Best bang for your buck performance upgrades for 3.7 Laredo?

I am new to the forum (1st post) and have a 2006 Laredo with 3.7. I have a lift kit and larger tires on it. Just like paddledude I'm looking for the same advice on some mods/upgrades for 3.7 to help with some more power. Looking into upgrading throttle body and air filter kit.....thanks
