Uh Oh.....

I don't have my manual but IIRC you push it forward to pop then it comes apart.

Exactly what Stone Cold was talking about. You do NOT want to have to change thecthrottle cables.

Re: Botched Throttle Body Install

Success.

Well that turned out to be much more than I anticipated. Seems like there always.....something....

The following is my dremmeled screw- thanks for the tip! Also attached is old TB. Not nearly as dirty as I thought it would be. No catch can needed on the 4.7 it seems. 52k miles.

Sorry for all the seemingly easy questions but I just didn't want to make more work for myself if I did something wrong. Incident have any instructions. Although it is pretty strait forward.

Thanks again for all the help!

Re: Botched Throttle Body Install

I will be swapping mine out soon as well, I have been staring at those 2 cables for weeks wondering how to get them off correctly!

Re: Botched Throttle Body Install

Grip tight works great for stripped screws. We use it on the Sea Hawks all day long at out squadron to get stripped screws out of the airframe. Its like a thick, goopy gel with sand in it. Itll grip that screw better than your grand daddy's hand shake. If that doesnt work a reverse drill bit will.
