Cam and ported heads question on a 5.7?

My buddy will be installing a cam from Inertia Motorsports in a few weeks on my 5.7; However, he also wants to know if he can port the heads while he's down there. Has anyone ported the heads on a 5.7, if so, how did it go? Is there anything I should worry about?

The port job they do on their heads in cnc cut... Done by a machine the copies a professional port job done by an experienced person.

Im about 100 percent sure I will be doing the performance heads. Just making sure all my bills are in line first, before I pull the trigger on them. Not sure as the type of heads he was referring too, but Stu did tell me that in conjunction with the spartan plus cam I should gain about 75+ to the rear.

I can't wait.......

I will keep you updated.

Speaking of the Spartan Plus Cam, some of the hardware just arrived!!

Your definitely right. It just makes no sense for me to install the cam right now, especially when I really want to do the heads too. Oh, and I'm two wheel drive. If you don't mind, can you send me a link for the stage 2 valve body by sharadon.

Everything except the camshaft. Although the camshaft is made in California, and I live in California, I asked him to send the cam back to his self then send it to me to save me some money on taxes. It'll be another week and half before I see it.
