Being that I plan on getting a catch can in the near future , I need some Ideas on where to mount it .
I like the idea of having it on the Strut brace but I cant seem to find that bracket anywhere any Ideas ?

Thanks

Go to the hardware store and get an L bracket. That is what I did and it cost about a dollar.

+1. There's a great write-up on here on how to use a 5" L-bracket and a grinder in order to retain the OEM motor cover. That's what I did and it looks pretty sweet/natural.

Thanks, I will have to do a search on it

No problem bud. Good luck with the install!

usually BT supplies a bracket, no?

Mine didn't come with one. I chose the standard bracket but they cheaped out and didn't send it. If the can didn't have the best ratings, I surely wouldn't be recommending them. Still, their CS sucks, as they denied that they never sent the bracket since I opened the package and found out it wasn't there 2 weeks after it was received.

In either case, the bracket that it [supposedly] comes with is not compatible if you want to retain the OEM engine cover. See previous link for more information.

im sorry you had a bad experience with them. They have been amazing for me. I had to return mine and have it replaced and they made it super easy. It sucks you had to deal with that.

I understand now, i didn't realize y'all have an engine cover to deal with.

Curious, why did you have to send yours back to have it replaced?

The can either didn't have a seal around the "can" part... or i dropped it.. and the oil/heat discolored the catch can. it made it 3 different colors of blue. I sent them a pic and had a new one within days. This one had a rubber ring around the threads, no discoloration.

I even admitted I may have missed the ring.

Hmm, I opted for the cheap 'satin' solution, so I shouldn't have any issues with discoloration, but not having the O-ring would SUCK.

ha it did.... my dang motor puts almost 2/3 of a can for every 4K miles.... it was all over the can!

HOLY SH*T!!! 2/3 a can every 4k!? I'm lucky if mine catches a couple tablespoons in that range. That CAN'T be normal, right?

Mine catches about 4 tabelspoons in 6,000 miles; very dark brown, smelly hydrocarbons. IF yours is catching more, your PCV valve is probably not functioning properly. The bracket BT provides does not fit on my 2006. Just be sure to use heavy duty reinforced hose when installing. They provide 2 short lengths of air brake hose

So , I sat down and really thought about it , plus look at what i had in the garage and here is what I cam up with .

1) 1" or 1 1/4 pipe clamp
1 ) 2" 3/16th bolt
about 4' 1/2 heater hose.

I drilled out the clamp to 3/8" used the same screw That came with the Can ( Black allen head) .
Replaced the 1 1/4" bolt for the clamp with a 2" 3/16th bolt .
Didnt use the hoses that came with the kit but replaced them with 1/2 heater hose.

We will paint the clamp black later ( thats the wife's job ,lol)

and here is what she looks like
