After looking into it some more I determined replacing the PCV valve would fix my problem. So far so good. Got the PCV valve from rock auto for something like 8 bucks and it took 2 mins to change.

So far, no. Still working 70 hours a week since Feb. 6th. I did however peak down in the box and the intake pipe and it was dry and clean, no residue of any kind. I have a one-owner 2008 with 42K on it. I still planb on at some point taking the system out and getting some pics. If it is as clean as the box and that section of pipe I looked at all the way to the t-body and even behind the blade, then I will not get one as it would just be a waste of good money since the obvious signs of needing one at that point would be absent.
