Re: Catch Can siezed up...

thanks guys...yeah I must have tightened that damn thing up too tight...and with the heat under there that biotch is stuck. I will use a wrench and put some anti-seize on there after I get it off

Re: Catch Can siezed up...

fwiw...if you tightened the catch can when it was really warm/hot...could be your problem. i've never had a problem taking it off when i tightened the can while it was cold.

Re: Catch Can siezed up...

Mine was giving me a hard time the other day,so i did the old jar lid thing....thick rubber gloves! it gave me a MUCH better grip. Not better grip then a wrench, but it didnt scratch it

Re: Catch Can siezed up...

took care of it FYI...let it be semi-hot (engine cooled for 15 mins after a long drive), put a towel over it and got some vice grips...came loose with mild torque! thanks for the help everybody.

REMEMBER!! You do not need to tighten your Catch Can more than "grandma jelly jar" and do not over-tighten when warm/cold!!!
